Howdy y’all and welcome to bumper edition of our IC community updates, packed to the rafters with your SXSW showcases, new music releases and artists on tour.

SXSW SHOWCASES
Sadly we won't be there IRL this year, but a lot of you folks will be! Here’s a fun lil graphic we made to help you mark your calendars.
NEW IC CATALOGS
Maybe it’s the Q1 Special, maybe it’s the new lower pricing, maybe it’s this newsletter — whatever it is, we’ve added more new catalogs in the past few weeks than any period in IC history. Thrilled to welcome these new faces!
Born Yesterday Records is a Chicago-based label, founded by Kevin Fairbairn and Greg Obis, that’s released records by the likes of Lifeguard, Moontype and Lawn.
Hydration Records, a Gospel R&B label from the UK who started out as a blog and YouTube channel (which now has over 196k followers!)
Enabler Records, a record label based in Wakefield, Quebec, run by musician Andrew Johnston.
Drilo's Den, an Orlando-based boutique record label and music production house, with artists including Big9Dawg.
NOS (No One’s Safe) Recordings, a new label from one of the owners of Sleeping Giant Music, who just released their first single - Story of My Life by Freshcobar & Lavelle Dupree.
Dalliance Recordings, a record label that was originally set-up in 2017 to release the debut album from Brooklyn’s Wilsen and now includes Gia Margaret, Common Holly and HighSchool on its roster.
Reggae Library, a London based reggae catalog run by Curtis Lynch Junior, also known as The Grynch, a British record and dancehall producer (including for Gorillaz!), who also runs Necessary Mayhem Records.
And last but not least, Jigsaw Music Group Ltd, a music publisher who’ve been around since 2016 and are based in the South East of the UK.
NEW RELEASES
Here’s a round-up of what you’ve been announcing and putting out over the last couple of weeks!
🎧 Weird Sister released the new Madge track Rabits, which premiered at #1 on Spotify's Hyperpop playlist. Check it out here or preview below:
🎧 H1 Massive is putting out the new Billy Botox track Lucky Day “a hip hop track that is a rally call for never giving up on yourself”. Check it out when its released on 13th March!
🎧 Born Yesterday announced they’ve signed Glow In The Dark Flowers, and will release their self titled debut LP in April. Buy here or preview below:
🖥 🎧 Fire Talk announced that i’ve seen a way, the debut record from Mandy, Indiana is coming out May 19th. The long awaited release was recorded in caves, crypts, and shopping malls and is available to pre-order on purple swirl vinyl, trad black wax and CD here. Check out the video for the lead single from it, Pinking Shears, below:
They also released the new Strange Ranger single Rain So Hard. Listen below and check out details of their US tour later in the email.
🎧 Paradise of Bachelors announced a partnership with the estate of Roxy Gordon, poet, journalist, visual artist, American Indian Movement activist, and musician. Their reissue campaign begins on May 12 with Gordon's private-press album (and accompanying poetry chapbook) from 1988, Crazy Horse Never Died

🎧 Overseas Artists Recordings put out Manchaca Volumes 1 & 2 by Boogarins as a double album on vinyl, CD, cassette and digital, over here
🎧 Double Double Whammy announced Could Have Done Anything, the fifth full-length album by Toronto’s Charlotte Cornfield. Pre order and check out lead single You and Me here
🎧 Father/Daughter released the debut album from mui zyu, Rotten Bun for an Eggless Century. Check out an album that’s “pop at its disarming, melodic, weird, folkloric, and wild best”, and surely an early contender for album cover of the year. 🎧 Kill Rock Stars band TEKE::TEKE (one of our favorite’s from last year’s Great Escape!) announced a new album Hagata, as well as releasing new single Garakuta. Check that out below or pre-order the album (due June 9th) here.
🎧 Joyful Noise released the new Kishi Bashi single Winter’s Eve, available here on a limited edition lathe cut 7".
🖥 🎧 Polyvinyl are releasing a 25th Anniversary Edition of the legendary Braid album Frame & Canvas. They also created a video for the track Killing A Camera, using archival footage of the band, which you can check out below:
NEW SIGNINGS
Raw Tapes introduced the newest member of their family, Shir Frum. She wrote her first song Heaven in first grade and now self-described her music as ‘elegant indie’. Check her our or pre order the record here.
Kill Rock Stars welcomed prolific independent artist and activist Ryan Cassata to their family and shared the video for debut single if you ever leave long island, which you can watch below or listen to the song here.
They also added Joh Chase to their roster, announcing the partnership with the single Lucky Penny, which you can listen to here in full and preview below:
GRADUATION* announced that Saint Levant has joined their family! Following his global hit and multilingual rap song Very Few Friends, he just dropped his debut EP From Gaza With Love.
SHOWS, TOURS + EVENTS
🚌 Strange Ranger (Fire Talk) start their tour this weekend in New York
🚌 The aforementioned Ryan Cassata (Kill Rock Stars) just started their tour, including showcases at SXSW on 11th and 17th of March. Tickets available here
🚌 Alvvays (Polyvinyl) and Alex G (Domino) are co-headlining a summer tour:
🚌 Sun June (Keeled Scales) are doing a full band tour of the UK in May! Tickets
