NEW IC CATALOGS
Up first, we’re really happy to give a nod to a couple new folks who recently joined the IC community:

Here’s a round-up of what you’ve been announcing and putting out over the last couple of weeks!
🎧 Polyvinyl band LIES announced their debut album, Lies, out March 31st. What started as “noodling during American Football practice” is now a full-fledged Mike & Nate Kinsella project. Pre-order here and listen to latest single Resurrection below:

🖥 Carpark signee Jimmy Whispers has announced a new LP The Search for God. The LA-via-Chicago songwriter’s new album will arrive June 9th (pre-order here) and you can watch the video for first single from it, Hellscape, below:
🎧 Chapter Music are re-issuing lost classic Australian mid-80s eccentric dance-pop album, Skippy Knows by Whadya Want? It’s a “quintessential mid 80s artefact, melding elements of post-punk, art pop and club-facing dance music” and you can listen to a track from it, Lonely, below or pre-order it here.
🖥 🎧 ZZK Records released Galaxia de Emociones the debut album from Mexican-American indie-electro-pop singer songwriter Jackie Mendoza, purveyor of “fantastical, intimate electro-pop propelled by ukulele-based dance grooves”. It was co-produced by Rusty Santos of Animal Collective and will be available on vinyl, cassette, and all digital platforms on March 3rd. They also announced Chimborazo, the sophomore album from Mexican marimba punk misfits Son Rompe Pera, produced by Mario Galeano (Frente Cumbiero, Los Pirañas). It’s out March 10th but you can buy or listen to Chucha, the first single from it, below:
🎧 Danse Noir released the debut album Fatima by self taught artist and producer Ruhail Qaisar. In it, “hauntological drones, power electronics and convulsive post-industrial dissonance create an unnerving sense of fear, anger, and alienation”, creating a record that “…screams with the trauma and decay of life in his hometown of Leh—a high-altitude plateau region in the contested Ladakh area”. 🖥 🎧 Keeled Scales band Lunar Vacation shared a video for new single Only You. Buy here or watch below:
🎧 Mexican Summer announced End of Everything, the new album by Mega Bog, the experimental pop ensemble led by Erin Elizabeth Birgy. Listen to new single from it, The Clown, below:
🎧 Get Better shared the new John-Allison Weiss album, The Long Way, their first new album in eight years. Buy or listen here.

SHOWS, TOURS + EVENTS
🎤 nonclassical have two upcoming events in London: tonight they’re hosting Southbank Sinfonia: New Beginnings - four world premieres from their Associate Composers, performed live in London by Southbank Sinfonia and conductor Toby Thatcher. Tickets are on sale here. Then, on 4th March, there’s Nonclassical x LHF: Handel the Innovator a classical club night in partnership with London Handel Festival, exploring experimental approaches to songwriting in the 21st century. Tickets for that one are here.
🚌 Cola (Fire Talk Records) are doing a tour of North America and Europe, starting April 19th in Toronto. Ticket details here.
🚌 Xiu Xiu (Polyvinyl) are touring their new album, Ignore Grief, starting May 16th in Prague. Tickets here
🎤 Polyvinyl also announced that emo stalwarts American Football are supporting The 1975 at their 2nd July show in London’s Finsbury Park, alongside Cigarettes After Sex, The Japanese House and Bleachers. Tickets here
🚌 Death Valley Girls (Suicide Squeeze) are currently on tour - they play Annecy in France tonight, then head to Germany, the UK and back to France. Tickets
